Center for Career Development
Scope and Contents
Center for Career Development records consist of materials to support students’ search and successful placement in employment after graduation. Included are the First Year Guide, information on Judicial Internships and Clerkships, and a Job Bulletin. Marketing materials and notices of events and activities put on by the department are included in the series as well as a Career Newsletter which ran from 1990-2002. Placement statistics and other departmental administrative information are included. Materials date from 1970-2019.

Biographical / Historical
The Law School’s Center for Career Development offers a variety of services to help students develop their career plans including individual counseling appointments and application document review.
The Center offers mock interviews and works with student organizations, alumni and local bar associations to present panel discussions on practice areas and types of legal jobs, as well as workshops focused on job search and career development strategies. They also facilitate networking events to connect students with practicing attorneys.
Throughout the academic year, the Center for Career Development organizes and participates in recruiting events with law firms, businesses, government agencies and other organizations. See https://law.uconn.edu/careers/
